Inspiration for 'The Puddle' Print

I have always loved being outdoors. I have worked in environmental conservation and never feel happier than outside in all weathers. One thing I do more often after meeting a wonderful bunch of women (through Parkrun and running) is outdoor swimming. One of my lovely friends introuduced me to a place locally called 'The Puddle' last year in Weardale. Its somewhere we meet for a giggle and a catch up and we all leave feeling much happier for it. I am not going to bore you with details of cold water benefits etc, I think I mostly feel better from being with friends and outside. The wildlife here is wonderful. The inspiration for 'The Puddle' print came from this and the fact I wanted to gift my friends with a print of our special place.

The puddle vibe!

We often see ducks here, fish leaping out of the water , beautiful sunsets and rainbows. Sometimes its very still and peaceful and at other times its freezing cold, blowing a hoolie and you get a face full of water swimming against the wind. There are swans, frogs, butterflies, beautiful heather, rabbits and hares. Every time, we see something beautiful.

Building a Community

'The Puddle' represents building a community or group of people who have the same interests and just like spending time together, respecting their environment and taking pleasure in the little things. Oh, and getting a bit of exercise, though often counteracted by cake!

Creating memories

Many happy memories are created here and this print captures those, and the beauty of Weardale. There are many groups around the county and country that enjoy their own tiny bit of paradise outdoor swimming with friends in places they love, this print captures and celebrates that.
